2010 Team Profiles Mens A In 2010 the Men’s A team is looking forward to the upcoming season. With a rather disappointing 2009 season, with losing the semi-final of the Manawatu competition, we are out this season to win the Manawatu Division One title. From last year we welcome back Andrew Bethwaite, Joe Crawford, Sheridan O'Hara, Steven Chamlers, Liam Judd, Ben Quayle, Robbie Belchamber, Ben Molley, and Cameron Percy. We have also acquired the services of Issac Berry, Garth Jenue, Daniel Jurno, Alex MacKenzie, Luke Kearney, and Mike Tuck. We welcome back to the Management team Mike Wilson as coach, and gained the services of Jill Belchamber as Manager. Womens A After a vey successful 2009 season, winning the Division One Womens Competition, the 2010 season is shaping up to be another successful season. With former Black Sticks players, Tara Drysdale and Sheree Phillips, the team has a very good mix of experienced College Hockey players, such as Bryonie Phillips, Vikki Lutman, Helen Haggis, Joanne White, Katarina O'Callaghan, Nickki O'Callaghan, Tara Drysdale, and Sheree Phillips, and new College Hockey players, such as Te Wai Tamati, and Sue Gregory. Fiona Chard is back Coaching for 2010 and is aiming to win back to back Division One titles, and with Naomi Thompson (nee Swainson) Managing the team. Mens B Luckily for the Men's B team, Gareth Rennie and Alton Rhodes have accepted to be Coach and Manager for this season, and with some very experienced players behind them, hopes are high for some good results in the very competitive Division 2 grade. Womens B The Womens B team are excited about another season in the Division Two Women's Competition. With Jason Woodman as Coach, and Sheridan O'Hara Assisting Jason the team are looking to become stronger and stronger as the season progresses. Jo Staples, Sharni Wakely, Jo Vettman, Clarie Jefferies, Jess Palleson, Katrina Etheridge, Sam Geary, Renee O'Brien, and Renee Drysdale all return from 2009 for another season. Mens C The Men's C team are back for another fun season in 2010, and everyone is looking forward to playing in the Division Three Men's competition on Friday nights. A good mix of new players learning from the old players make this team a very enjoyable team to play for. Mens Masters Again, the College Hockey Club have a Masters Mens team, and unlike the name suggests, this team is fill of talent players, lead by Ed Morgan, Llyod Miles, and Tony Spackman. As long as the Turf bar is open, this team will be having fun. |
